We’ve Moved!

Ok, shameless provocative title heading there.  We didn’t actually leave Phillips Street or Dyersburg, so I’m not really talking about a physical move.  But I promise I’m not lying.  Let me explain.

I started blogging about 5 years ago.  I started just uploading my weekly bulletin articles and that evolved into posting a couple of specially written articles a week.  In the process I have had a lot of folks, well a lot to me (over 45,000), who have graciously stopped by my little corner of the web to read about life through the eyes of a preacher.  But for a couple of years I had been thinking about the long-term plans I have for my blog.  I had been using a free hosting site with limited capabilities since I started and it has given me limited results.  I decided if I was going to keep going I probably needed to make some modest investments, make it look a little bit more professional, and get a more efficient and memorable URL.

So for several months I thought about what to call it, how to design it, what I wanted to be my niche.  And after a lot of trial and error I’m excited to say that as of this Thursday (January 1, 2015) my blog moved.  Thursday morning I posted a link to my first post from my new site and since you’re reading this, thank you for taking a few minutes to read it, look around, and see what content it is going to have to offer.  In addition to a brand new look, title, and theme all of my articles posted on my old site will be readily available and searchable for your convenience.  Thankfully nothing will be lost in the transition.  In fact, if anything the transition makes my content more accessible.

So there it is, my big announcement for the day.  Thank you all who have made up my readership for the last few years; to those who have graciously contacted me telling me you appreciate something I wrote or wanted to reprint it in a bulletin or use it in a sermon; or those who have left comments adding to the discussion.  You have made these last few years and my time spent in this endeavor worthwhile.
